Venus' mysterious haze is actually cosmic dust

Venus’s lower atmospheric haze consists of cosmic dust particles left by burning meteorites. Tohoku University researchers used a microphysical model to confirm that these particles interact with sulfuric acid to sustain the haze layer. These dust particles also serve as condensation nuclei that promote cloud formation throughout the planet's main cloud deck.
