Visa, Mastercard and Ant International team up on ID checks for AI agents

Visa, Mastercard and Ant International have launched a joint “Know-Your-Agent” framework that verifies AI agents making purchases on users’ behalf. The system will enable card networks and digital wallets to perform identity checks on these agents, aiming to reduce fraud and ensure compliance with payment regulations.
