Volvo’s cars will warn one another about hazards in the road

Volvo is adding hazard-alert software to three of its electric models, enabling cars to detect animals or vulnerable road users with onboard sensors and cameras and then log the location. The data is transmitted to Volvo’s servers and shared with other Volvo vehicles in Europe, the United States and Canada, providing real-time warnings without relying on crowdsourced navigation services.
