Walmart announced it will begin installing contactless Tap-to-Pay terminals that accept Apple Pay, Google Pay and other mobile wallets, with deployment slated to finish across its stores by the end of 2026. The move reverses the retailer’s long-standing resistance to contactless payment methods.
