Wardogs, Valheim 1.0 and other new indie games worth checking out

Wardogs, a Bulkhead tactical FPS, sold over one million copies and reached 340,171 concurrent players on launch day; its 100-player “king of the hill” mode pits three squads against each other with zone-control scoring, local voice chat, base building, destruction and a persistent cash economy. Valheim 1.0 exits early access on PC, Xbox and PlayStation with cross-play for up to ten players, adding the Deep North biome, new weapons, armor, tools, creatures, buildable items, events and an animated intro. Worming From Home, a remote-job simulator on Steam for Windows and macOS, costs $8 (discounted to $6 until September 18) and tasks players with advancing a worm-in-an-office career via spreadsheets, stock-market minigames, self-help reading and office upgrades.
