Waymo hands over documents in NHTSA’s child collision probe

Waymo submitted partially redacted responses to NHTSA’s investigation into the January 23 Santa Monica crash in which a Jaguar I-Pace robotaxi struck a nine-year-old at 17 mph, slowing to six mph before impact. The regulator’s 12-question request covered speed-limit determination, school-zone complaints, and software documentation, and Waymo received extensions, completing its submissions by early July.
