Waymo pulls over, calls cops on juvenile riders who had 'ghost gun"

Waymo halted its autonomous vehicle in San Francisco’s Richmond District just before 4 a.m. on Sept. 3 after detecting a firearm-related terms-of-service violation. Police performed a high-risk stop, confiscated a loaded AR-style rifle, suspected marijuana and mace, and arrested two juvenile passengers, who were placed in juvenile hall. The case remains under investigation, while Waymo has secured regulatory approval to expand service across 18 California counties.
