Waymo restarts San Antonio service five months after flooding troubles

Waymo has restarted its robotaxi service in San Antonio after a vehicle was swept away during April’s flash flood. The company issued a May recall, restricted operations in flood-prone areas, and now operates dozens of vehicles across a 60-mile zone that includes downtown and the international airport. Software updates now enable the robotaxis to detect and avoid standing water.
