Waymo will pay riders $2.85 to also take public transport

Waymo will credit $2.85 to riders who link a Visa card in the Waymo app and take a robotaxi trip followed by a public-transport journey within two hours, starting with employees in the San Francisco Bay Area and expanding to the public. The program covers 27 Bay Area transit agencies that accept contactless tap-to-pay. In Hamburg, the transit operator runs autonomous shuttles through its own app, offering the service without a credit incentive.
