Waymo’s cheaper, next-gen robotaxi is now open to all riders in these three cities

Waymo has launched its new Ojai robotaxi for all riders in Los Angeles, Phoenix and San Francisco, adding about 300 Ojai units to its commercial fleet and allowing riders to choose between Ojai and the older Jaguar I-Pace. The Ojai, a Zeekr-built minivan equipped with Waymo’s sixth-generation self-driving system and Gemini AI, is being imported despite Chinese tariffs, with 5,000 slated for U.S. delivery by the end of 2026.
