What are the major changes coming to Apple HomeKit in iOS 27?

iOS 27 adds Apple Intelligence to the Home app, enabling AI-summarized notifications, face and animal detection, multi-camera event stitching with short AI-generated descriptions, searchable footage, and 4K video recording. The update also lets the Home app update all Apple TVs simultaneously and improves overall reliability. New hardware such as a next-gen HomePod mini and a rumored “HomePad” combining HomePod and iPad features are expected soon.
