What causes a stuck pixel on your laptop and can it be fixed?
Stuck pixels occur when a transistor remains powered on, preventing color change; causes include physical damage, power surges, extreme temperatures, or aging components. They can be remedied with software that cycles colors (e.g., JScreenFix, PixelHealer), gentle pressure using a covered tool, or mild heat applied with a warmed cloth. If a cluster of pixels appears, the device may qualify for warranty replacement.
