What is Android System Intelligence and what happens if you turn it off?

Android System Intelligence (ASI) is a Google system component that powers contextual features such as Live Caption, Now Playing, Smart Autorotate, Screen Attention, app predictions, smarter copy-paste and notification actions, running inside Android’s Private Compute Core with no direct internet access. Disabling ASI removes these features but does not affect core phone functionality, and Google recommends disabling individual permissions or features rather than turning off the whole component.
