What is the best direction to face your subwoofer?

Subwoofer orientation has minimal impact because low-frequency waves radiate omnidirectionally, so a slight rotation won’t alter sound quality. Placement matters more: give ported subwoofers 2–4 inches of clearance around their vents, and position the unit in a corner or against a front wall to reduce dead spots and achieve smoother bass response. Testing different spots at knee height helps identify the most balanced, full-bodied bass.
