What type of power cord does a PS5 use?

The PS5 uses an IEC320 C7 figure-8 power cord rated 100-240 V, 50/60 Hz, with a non-polarized connector and 18 AWG copper wire. It draws 200-220 W, requiring less than 2 A, so the cord must support sustained gaming loads safely. Sony’s official cable is sold with the console, and certified third-party C7 cables with UL or equivalent safety marks are acceptable replacements.
