What's the difference between Thunderbolt 4 and 5?

Thunderbolt 5 doubles Thunderbolt 4’s bidirectional bandwidth to 120 Gbps downstream and 40 Gbps upstream, and increases power delivery to 240 W. It supports demanding multi-4K or select 8K display configurations and remains backward compatible with Thunderbolt 4, 3, and USB4, targeting creators, gamers, and IT professionals handling large file transfers or advanced docking stations.
