What's the difference between your iPhone's Do Not Disturb and Focus modes?

iPhone offers silent mode, Do Not Disturb, and Focus modes to control notifications. Silent mode mutes sound but still shows alerts; Do Not Disturb blocks all banners, calls, and alerts; Focus modes, introduced in iOS 15, let users customize allowed apps, contacts, and time-sensitive alerts for specific contexts such as work, sleep, or driving. Focus can be set manually or auto-activated via Sleep, Driving, or Apple Intelligence.
