Why are more movies not shot in IMAX?

Shooting in IMAX demands bulky, heavy 65-70 mm cameras that are louder and require expensive film, causing frequent stoppages and longer schedules, as illustrated by Tom Holland’s experience on Nolan’s *The Odyssey*. Because most theaters cannot display the true 15/70 format and digital IMAX-certified cameras offer lower quality, producers typically reserve IMAX for select sequences rather than full-film production.
