Why Emacs Consult async searches feel slow and how to speed them up

The Consult package throttles asynchronous searches using three configurable timers: consult-async-input-debounce (delay before launching a process), consult-async-input-throttle (maximum start rate), and consult-async-refresh-delay (UI update frequency). Setting them to 0.05 s, 0.1 s, and 0.05 s respectively reduces latency, making results appear faster without altering the speed of external tools like ripgrep, while balancing CPU and garbage-collection overhead.
