Why is it illegal to use a Bluetooth jammer?

Bluetooth jammers broadcast noise across the 2.4 GHz band, blocking both Classic and Low-Energy Bluetooth as well as Wi-Fi, and can reach about 50 feet, disrupting nearby devices such as routers, baby monitors, medical equipment, and law-enforcement communications. Their use is prohibited worldwide, including the U.S. under the 1934 Communications Act and FCC rules, with violations punishable by heavy fines, imprisonment, and traceable detection by spectrum-analysis tools.
