Why is there a waitlist for Siri AI in iOS 27?

Siri AI, the headline feature of iOS 27, requires manual activation and a waitlist; only iPhone 15 Pro series and newer, and iPad mini 7 (A17 Pro) or M1-based models, support it. The waitlist limits simultaneous cloud-based processing, preventing overload as the assistant accesses on-device data and web content.
