Why it's important to not put your PC on the floor

Placing a PC on the floor exposes it to carpet fibers, pet hair, skin cells, and pollen that settle on heatsinks, filters, and circuits. Dust buildup forces fans to work harder, triggers thermal throttling, and accelerates wear on capacitors and thermal paste. Elevating the tower on a stand, keeping it off carpet, and maintaining clearance from walls, combined with regular cleaning, reduces dust accumulation and preserves performance.
