Why your iPhone hates printer cables

iPhones lack native USB drivers, so connecting a printer via OTG adapters does not enable printing. AirPrint, introduced in 2010, is the only built-in wireless option, while third-party apps such as PrintCentral Pro, PrintDirect, and PrintCast require a computer bridge. For older printers, the practical solution is to upgrade to an AirPrint-compatible model or print from a computer.
