The world's busiest spaceport is about to get a lot quieter, at least for now

SpaceX will sharply reduce launches from Florida’s Cape Canaveral and Kennedy Space Center as it prepares for Starship, a senior SpaceX official confirmed. The company performed 165 Falcon 9 flights last year—averaging three per week—with roughly 75% carrying Starlink satellites. In 2024, launches have already shifted toward Vandenberg Space Force Base, a trend that will continue throughout the year.
