Xbox Insiders will soon be able to create digital versions of their physical games

Microsoft will let Xbox Insiders digitize physical Xbox One and Series X discs, letting users claim a digital entitlement by inserting the disc and launching the game; the disc remains usable but the digital license is bound to the claiming account. Thousands of titles, including most current-gen disc games, will support the feature at launch, while Xbox 360 and original Xbox titles are excluded.
