XCancel and Nitter are receiving C&D letters from XCorp

On 24 August 2026 X Corp. issued cease-and-desist letters that forced XCancel to suspend its service immediately and halted Nitter’s public instances and repository, taking nitter.net offline. Both projects announced they are seeking legal counsel and will not disclose further details, thanking users and contributors for their support.
