Xiaomi's new passport-style foldable looks shorter and wider than the Galaxy Z Fold 8

Xiaomi unveiled the Fold 18 Pro at IFA 2026, a passport-style foldable that appears shorter and wider than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8, but hands-on testing is prohibited until its China launch on September 7. The device sports a Leica-branded camera module and Xiaomi’s in-house XRING 03 “Flagship AI” SoC, integrating CPU, GPU, NPU and AI accelerators, while the company also announced European rollout of its electric vehicles.
