Nvidia investing $1.5B in SoftBank data center developer behind OpenAI project
Nvidia is committing $1.5 billion to SoftBank’s SB Energy to help build a new data-center campus in Ohio that will be leased by OpenAI. The project, backed by a 20-year agreement, is slated to deliver up to 10 gigawatts of capacity, with Nvidia also providing a financial backstop for part of the development’s value.
